The Role: We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Shellfish Performance and Forecast Planner to join our team based in Albany, WA . Acting as a critical intermediary between our production, processing and sales teams, you will ensure efficient communications are maintained as they relate to product movements into distribution pathways. You will maintain oversight of shellfish growth performance, predictive growth and harvest forecast modelling, immediate product availability, future harvest potential, overall sales targets by size range and volume, and processing capacity. You will be accountable for ensuring real time information is available across key stakeholders in the shellfish supply chain. Key Responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain demand forecasts for shellfish production across seasons, factoring in biological growth cycles, environmental conditions and market demand trends. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, including growth, mortality, condition and harvest volumes to optimise farm productivity and profitability. Integrate environmental data into predictive models to improve stock and harvest forecasting accuracy. Collaborate with the nursery, farm operations, and sales teams to align production planning with customer demand and supply constraints. Optimise stocking, grading, and harvest schedules to maximise product quality, size consistency, and revenue outcomes. Identify risk and develop mitigation strategies within forecasting and planning processes. Build and continuously improve forecasting models using historical data, scenario planning, and data analytics tools. Support strategic planning by providing insights on capacity utilisation, expansion opportunities, and long-term production scenarios. Ensure accurate reporting and communication of forecasts, performance insights, and variances to stakeholders. About you: Degree in agricultural science, business, logistics, or engineering, with experience in biological performance management and/or statistical analysis would be highly regarded. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Initiative and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data for biological performance, production, demand forecasting, and inventory holdings Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, Outlook, and Word) Strong verbal and written skills. Class ‘C’ Driver’s licence. Progressive and positive attitude. Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
