DIRECTORATE: Infrastructure, Planning & Environment CLASSIFICATION: Grade C SALARY: A base salary of $64,702 pa with competency-based increments to $75,055 pa 12% employer contribution to superannuation REPORTING TO: Leading Hand Roads, Concreting or Roads Maintenance EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent Full Time THE POSITION: To provide heavy plant operations and labouring assistance to relevant crews and other AlburyCity work groups, including assisting with operational works as required. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: General excavator operations in civil construction works. Heavy plant operations to civil crews including earthworks, drainage works, water works and pavement construction. Maintain plant in a clean and serviceable condition. Ensure all routine plant maintenance is carried out and weekly service reports completed. Drive and operate plant in accordance with AlburyCity’s WHS Policies and Procedures and best practice. General labouring duties as required. Other plant operations as required. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. This position may involve work outside normal working hours. This will be in agreement with your supervisor and any additional hours will attract the appropriate loadings. This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely. This position involves working in a predominantly outdoor environment where a varying range of temperatures, weather conditions and walking surfaces may be experienced. A high level of physical activity will also be required in order to undertake the role. The use of relevant work method statements and appropriate WHS standards are an integral part of the role.
