About The Team When you join the Infrastructure Projects team, you’ll join a group of professionals delivering Australia’s future rail network. To help grow rail transport in Australia, the team is focused on ensuring the delivery of critical construction projects across the country, including implementation of our $1 billion Network Investment Program that we’ve developed with the Australian Government. Whether it’s designing, building or maintaining crucial rail infrastructure, the team plays a pivotal role in our ongoing efforts to improve network resilience and keep the future of freight on track. About The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Client Site Representative / Supervisor to provide supervision, inspection, and quality assurance oversight across regional rail infrastructure projects. Ideally based near Ararat or western Victoria, this role requires regular travel between Portland, Ararat and Wolseley to oversee works across multiple sites. You will ensure works are delivered in accordance with scope and design specifications, safety and environmental regulations, contract requirements, and agreed timelines. Through structured site inspections and contractor performance monitoring, you will monitor implementation of key site documents and procedures, identify risks, issues and defects, manage the process of decision-making on behalf of the Client, coordinate rectification of non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Inspect works on site to ensure compliance with scope, design, contract, quality, timeline and WHS requirements. Represent the Client on site when required. Issue instructions, review progress claims, manage RFIs, and administer contractual and site documentation. Review drawings and specifications to confirm works are delivered as designed. Keep clear and accurate records of inspections, site activities, safety observations, defects, and contractor performance. Monitor contractor safety compliance and ensure approved controls are implemented. Identify defects and non-conformances early. Ensure corrective actions are completed and documented. Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Operations, and Safety teams to support smooth delivery, commissioning, and handover. Assist with commissioning, asset handover, and project close-out activities. Provide practical input into constructability and project scoping during early project phases. Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality, and environmental compliance on site. What do we want from you? Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure construction, engineering, site supervision, inspection and/or team leading roles Ability to read and interpret technical scope, drawings and construction documentation Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality control procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal, coordination, and conflict resolution abilities High attention to detail and accurate record keeping Ability to work independently and collaboratively Sound knowledge of WHS, Rail Safety, and Environmental regulations What will you get from us?
