Based in the Darling Downs region, this position will be required for the duration of the outage, commencing mid to late-August until project close out expected to be early to mid-November. This position is a site-based role. Nature of position: Casual Location: Darling Downs Reporting Line: Safety Lead Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Safety Lead, the Safety Officer will facilitate safety planning and execution during the event. Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and incident investigations Ensure compliance with WHS Act and client-specific procedures Advise and assist with verification of competency compliance Training matrix creation and on-going maintenance / management Support work groups, leading hands and supervisors with safety related items Support change management processes About You To be successful in this role, you are an experienced Safety Officer with a genuine concern for our people, equipment and positive outcomes. We are seeking an individual with demonstrated knowledge and experience with outage / turnaround or shutdown preferably in a coal fired power station.
