The Role As FP&A Manager – Segment Planning & Performance, you’ll be trusted advisor to the business, providing high quality financial insight to support planning, performance and commercial decision making. You’ll take ownership of the segment’s financial outputs, helping leaders understand what’s driving results and what actions matter most. This role is hands on and business facing. While supported by others that handle a portion production work, you’ll own the result analysis, commentary and reporting delivery. You will also be working closely with stakeholders on planning deliverables, commercial decisions and new initiatives in a fast‑paced, agile environment. Key responsibilities: Owning financial performance analysis and reporting for the Asset Finance segment Delivering timely monthly insights, commentary and performance packs Leading segment budgeting, forecasting and driver-based planning activities Supporting the business on commercial initiatives Developing and reviewing financial models, scenarios and business cases Responding to ad‑hoc financial analysis requests and stakeholder queries Improving planning, forecasting and reporting processes over time Supporting and mentoring team members as required About you You’re a commercially minded FP&A professional who enjoys being close to the business and influencing decisions through clear, practical financial insight. You’re comfortable taking ownership, working to firm deadlines, and partnering with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment. You balance strong technical capability with sound judgement and communication skills. You’re pragmatic, organised, and confident managing multiple priorities, stepping up when it matters and keeping quality front and centre. Solid experience in FP&A, management reporting and forecasting within a medium to large organisation A strong understanding of profit and loss drivers and commercial decision‑making Exposure to lending business, especially Asset Finance (highly regarded) Confidence working with financial models, data and planning tools The ability to manage competing deliverables and build trusted relationships across the business A mindset that’s proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Leadership experience isn’t essential, but this role does have one direct report offering you an opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities.
