You spent years in land development consultancy learning how the pieces fit together civil design, authority approvals, developer relationships, construction interfaces. You understand why things go wrong on site because you've been the one drawing them. Now you want to own the outcome, not just the drawings. This is that role. You may be doing it already. YOUR CHALLENGE You'll be managing civil engineering projects through every phase; from fee proposals and initial design coordination and authority approvals right through to construction and handover. There's a highly capable team design lead / design manager who supports you - you're involved, but not in the doing of the design details Day to day, you'll be: Managing land development projects end-to-end, coordinating design, approvals, construction, and handover across a broad project portfolio. Acting as the key point of contact for developers, councils, water authorities, and construction teams. Reviewing civil designs and documentation, drawing on your own technical background to spot issues before they become problems on site. Driving approvals processes with local councils and Melbourne's water authorities. You know how these conversations go. Managing project programmes, budgets, and consultant scopes. ABOUT YOU You'll need: 5 years in a land development consultancy, with a background in civil design or engineering. Ideally CPEng Experience managing or coordinating projects - you've been the one chasing approvals, managing stakeholders, and keeping programmes on track. A strong technical foundation. Confident communication with developers, councils, water authorities, and construction teams.
