We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Cloud Platform Architect / Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable and cost‑effective cloud platforms across AWS, Azure and GCP. In this pivotal role, you will act as the technical specialist for cloud architecture, automation, connectivity and reliability, enabling development teams while ensuring compliance with enterprise, security and governance standards. The Position Collaborate on design and validate cross‑cloud architectures, landing zones, networking/peering, identity and secure connectivity patterns (Direct Connect/ExpressRoute/Interconnect/Transit). Define provider‑agnostic reference architectures, patterns for resiliency, failover, and multi‑region deployments. Implement and maintain IaC across clouds (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Bicep) and configuration tooling (Ansible); enforce modular, reusable patterns. Build CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for infrastructure changes and deployments. Design and operate VPC/VNet topology, routing, transit, VPN/SD‑WAN integration and hybrid cloud connectivity; troubleshoot cross‑cloud network issues and performance. Implement monitoring, logging, tracing and alerts across providers, define SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements. Participate in on‑call rotations for cloud incidents, lead incident response for multi‑cloud failures and perform RCAs with durable remediation. Implement IAM best practices, secrets management, encryption and guardrails, support cloud security posture management and audit evidence. Enforce tagging, cost allocation and policy controls to meet compliance and cost governance. Analyse multi‑cloud spend, recommend rightsizing, reserved/committed models and cross‑provider optimisation strategies. Provide templates, runbooks and training to development, SRE and platform teams, review cloud architecture proposals and migrations. Work with networking, security, and vendor teams to coordinate provider features, roadmaps and escalations. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or a related discipline, or bring equivalent industry experience, and have five or more years’ hands‑on cloud engineering experience, including deep practical expertise across two or more public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP, gained in complex, enterprise‑scale environments. You will bring a proven track record of successfully delivering multi‑cloud platforms, migrations and hybrid connectivity solutions at scale, underpinned by strong expertise in infrastructure as code and scripting using tools such as Python, Go and Bash. You will demonstrate deep technical capability across cloud environments, with the ability to design, implement and operate robust, automated platforms that support enterprise workloads. To succeed, you will have solid cloud networking expertise, including VPC/VNet design, routing, BGP, VPN, SD‑WAN and peering, along with hands‑on experience integrating connectivity services across providers. You will be comfortable working with container platforms and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), and skilled in observability, incident management and alerting, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog and PagerDuty. A strong understanding of cloud security and governance, including IAM, KMS, Vault, CSPM and policy‑as‑code frameworks, will be essential to ensuring secure, compliant and reliable platforms. We can offer you Salary: $124,195 to $137,946 per annum, plus 12% superannuation Permanent, full-time opportunity working 76 hours per fortnight.
