I'm currently looking for multiple Embedded Test Engineers for a mining client of mine. We are looking for a skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to play a key role in the verification of mining Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) projects. You will design, execute, and analyse tests to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of autonomous systems in real-world and simulated environments. The engineer collaborates with product, architecture, and development teams to identify and resolve defects, contributing to the delivery of reliable and high-performing autonomous systems. Key Responsibilities: Verification Execution: Execute verification processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with technical specifications during the verification phase. Test Development and Execution: Develop and execute manual and automated tests, including functional, reliability, scalability, performance, hardware-in-the-loop, and experimental testing, while documenting results. Defect Identification and Resolution: Identify, document, and track defects in systems, collaborating with development teams to address issues such as real-time processing and system durability. Stakeholder Collaboration: Support verification alignment with technical goals, working with product owners, architects, and developers to ensure system quality. Risk Mitigation Support: Assist in mitigating risks, such as network reliability and data synchronization, under the guidance of the Verification Coordinator. Quality Metrics Contribution: Contribute to tracking quality metrics (e.g., uptime, fault tolerance) to meet system standards. Reporting: Provide clear and concise reports on verification activities and system performance to the Verification Coordinator. Skills: Hands-on experience with Test management tools like JIRA, JIRA RTM, Confluence, Release Management tools, Python, basic scripting experience for troubleshooting Software & Embedded Testing – Strong hands-on experience with end-to-end product testing of embedded systems connected to offboard environment, integration testing, CAN protocols, and real-time simulation. Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, with a focus on verification’s role in ensuring system quality. Knowledge of autonomous mining systems and associated technical challenges. Experience with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Selenium) is desirable. Familiarity with HIL/SIL environments, automation frameworks, and field verification.
