The Role This role is responsible for coordinating efficient, timely, and transparent external audit processes, acting as a key liaison between client delivery teams, external auditors, and internal business units. You will play a critical role in ensuring audit outcomes align with scope, regulatory obligations, and client expectations, while supporting broader risk management and operational resilience objectives. The role sits within the 1st Line Risk, Service and Operating Resilience team and works closely with the External Audit Manager to drive high-quality audit delivery, continuous improvement, and effective governance outcomes. We are hiring for two fixed‑term contract roles , offering flexibility across: An 18‑month fixed‑term opportunity A 6‑month fixed‑term opportunity Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Coordinate all external administration audit activity across RS Operations Act as the central point of contact between external auditors, clients, and internal business units Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of external audits in line with agreed timelines Proactively manage audit data and information requests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Develop and coordinate management responses to audit findings and track action item completion Perform Tier 3 quality assurance reviews aligned to Quality SOPs Conduct GS007 testing and assurance activities, maintaining appropriate separation of duties Support audit follow‑ups, including tracking and closing audit actions Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities arising from audit outcomes Ensure adherence to MUFG risk management policies, frameworks, and controls Support enhanced operational resilience through assurance testing and risk reporting Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to RS Operations Support collaboration between External Audit and Internal Audit teams Contribute to 1st Line Risk outcomes by supporting audit recommendation closure across the business Experience & Personal Attributes Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering high‑quality customer service within defined standards Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders effectively Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and planning capability Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to negotiate, influence, and build productive working relationships Strong computer literacy, with experience across core business systems (Aaspire desirable) Sound understanding of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements Experience within Superannuation and/or Insurance environments Exposure to internal or external audit environments is highly regarded Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Banking, Finance, Commerce , or a related discipline (desirable) Personal Attributes Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proactive, responsive, and able to work to tight deadlines Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder engagement skills Comfortable working across a complex, regulated environment .
