An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large, complex organisation supporting end to end payroll operations. This role sits within a collaborative People and Culture function and works closely with Finance and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, compliant payroll outcomes. This is a contract opportunity offering stability, exposure to scale, and the chance to contribute to system and process improvement. The role Reporting to a Payroll Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles across a large employee population. You will manage pre payroll activities, resolve payroll queries, and assist with the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing. Key responsibilities include: End to end payroll support across fortnightly and monthly pay cycles Pre payroll administration and validation activities Calculation and processing of terminations, redundancies, back payments and overpayments Superannuation and statutory payroll lodgements Responding to payroll queries and providing clear advice to stakeholders Supporting employee benefits administration Maintaining high levels of compliance with Australian payroll legislation Partnering closely with People and Culture, Finance and Tax teams Assisting with payroll system or process improvements About you To be successful in this role, you will bring: Minimum 5 years experience in Australian end to end payroll Experience supporting payroll for 1000 plus employees Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation High attention to detail and strong problem solving capability Ability to work under pressure and meet tight payroll deadlines Clear and confident communication skills A collaborative, flexible and proactive working style Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Workday will be highly regarded.
