Operating within ACU Psychology (Strathfield) and in partnerships with the Wonnarua Nation Aboriginal Corporation, the Institute of Positive Psychology and Education and RMIT, ACU is developing a first of its kind virtual reality training and education program to improve licence attainment and driving safety of young First Nations peoples. Required The Research Assistant role works remotely with project commitments based on Wonnarua country in the Newcastle-Maitland region of NSW and will be required to travel to ACU Strathfield campus on an ad-hoc basis. The Research Assistant will be: involved in conducting face-to-face studies with young first nations people using virtual reality driving simulation; under supervision assist with recruitment and data collection for this large-scale longitudinal, multi-site project; and liaise with all partners for the successful completion of this project. Total remuneration valued to $112,625 - $120,977 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $95,170 - $102,227 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
