High School Work Experience Program - Expression Of Interest Are you a Year 10 or 11 student with a passion for STEMM and a dream of making a difference in medical research? The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute invites you to apply for our exciting High School Work Experience Program - a unique opportunity to step inside one of Australia's leading medical research institutes and experience science in action! Program Information 2026 programs are expected to run June 29th-July 3rd and November 23rd-27th. We are currently inviting expressions of interest. Places are limited to ensure a deeply immersive experience. Open to Year 10 & 11 students endorsed by their school's careers advisor. Includes lab observations, tours, talks and presentations. Ends with a Certificate of Participation, a chance to share your feedback and an invitation to join our student network for future opportunities. What to Expect A full week of activities, typically 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Program is designed to be safe, educational, and inspiring . Supervision throughout, with a work experience coordinator available to assist and answer questions. A once in a lifetime experience! How to Apply Applications will only be accepted via our website.
