About Conservation & Pest Management Operating within the Parks & Recreation branch, the Conservation & Pest Management team is a dynamic and focused group that has general responsibility for the control of invasive plants on Council roads, maintenance of invasive animal fences, and for the delivery of other invasive plant and animal programs and projects. The team also manages Council's bushland parks and assists in prescribed burning operations. Working throughout the Region, individual teams are responsible for different tasks, and also work together to assist each other, with a strong culture of collaboration and support. About the position The Team Leader Conservation position will primarily exercise discretion in relation to the selection and organisation of appropriate work processes and resources for the maintenance of bushland parks. They will supervise and work with a team of Rangers to deliver all maintenance tasks, natural resource management, recreation management, and visitor management (including campgrounds) associated with the day to day running of Council’s bushland park estate. They may also be called upon to assist with other operations. This position will be required to work across other operational areas within the Branch.
