Join Our Team - Labourer for Water and Sewer Maintenance team Are you ready to kickstart your career in municipal works? Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking multiple dedicated and motivated Labourers to join our Program/Reactive Sewer Maintenance, and Program/Reactive Water Maintenance. In this role, you'll assist with a variety of tasks related to sewer maintenance and gain hands-on experience with plant, tools, and equipment. No prior experience? No problem! We offer on-the-job training to help you succeed. What We're Looking For: Driver’s Licence : Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence or must obtain within 6 months of commencement. WHS Competency : Hold a White Card (CPCWHS1001) for working safely in the construction industry or be willing to obtain one prior to starting. Experience : Labourer experience within the water industry is desirable but not required—on-the-job training will be provided. What We Offer: Permanent Full-Time : Based at the Charlton Depot. Work Hours : Regular hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 9-day fortnight (one rostered day off every two weeks). Competitive Salary : Fortnightly base rate of $2,423.70 gross, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. Additional Benefits : Variable allowances, on-call, overtime and penalty rates, wet weather allowance, and live sewer allowance.
