This is a Freight Officer - Team Lead role with Centurion based in WA, AU Centurion Role Seniority - mid level More about the Freight Officer - Team Lead role at Centurion As a Team Leader with Centurion Transport, you’ll join our Operations team in a Permanent Full-time role based at our Perth Airport Depot . You will bring strong warehousing and logistics knowledge, proven leadership experience, and ability to effectively manage a team within a fast-paced freight receivables environment. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and coordinate daily area operations, ensuring staffing, workflow, and equipment are effectively managed Oversee accurate freight receipting, checking, barcoding, manifesting, and correct bay allocation Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper handling of dangerous goods and freight protection Maintain high data accuracy across systems and paperwork, promptly reporting any discrepancies or anomalies Monitor freight flow and turnover to meet company policies and customer requirements Liaise with customers (including mine sites) to ensure freight is processed correctly and on time Train and develop team members across all OSR functions, promoting a multi-skilled workforce Manage team performance, including reporting, break compliance, and resolving workplace conflicts What You’ll Bring Previous warehouse and customer service experience Computer literacy and good organisation and planning skills Strong customer service and communication skills Willingness to develop and change with company direction Exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills Strong attention to detail Ability to influence peers positively adehering to company procedures and policies Must be available to supervise weekend work on a rotational basis and must be able to work overtime when required What’s in it for you?
