About the Role We are seeking a Rostering Assistant to join our Rostering team on a casual basis with a strong view to permanent. Reporting to the Rostering Manager, this is a hands-on role supporting high-volume, complex rostering across multiple departments and venues. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and operationally effective rosters, while responding to last‑minute changes and working closely with operational leaders. Key Responsibilities Create, manage, and publish employee rosters to ensure the right staffing levels across all departments Update and maintain staff availability, shift changes, absences, timesheets, leave requests, and shift swaps Manage last‑minute roster changes and coordinate cover for unplanned absences Ensure rosters are compliant with relevant awards, policies, WHS requirements, and fatigue management guidelines Act as the main contact for roster‑related enquiries, working closely with venue and operational leaders Monitor attendance and conduct, escalating issues in partnership with People & Culture when required Support the Rostering Manager with workforce planning, process improvements, and ongoing roster optimisation About You You’re organised, confident, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same. You enjoy problem‑solving, working with stakeholders, and taking ownership of outcomes. You will bring: Previous rostering or scheduling experience (essential) Experience in hospitality or large, complex operations (highly regarded) Confidence communicating with managers and staff — comfortable picking up the phone Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities A proactive, positive, “can‑do” attitude with a bubbly and approachable nature Willingness to learn and grow into higher‑level rostering and workforce planning Rotating Saturday ( 1 in every 3 weeks ) with Monday off in lieu Why Join Bankstown Sports?
