Role Overview Reporting directly to the Executive Director, North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office, the Director – Operational Readiness (T2D) is a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the successful transition of the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D Project) from construction to full operational service. The Director is accountable for establishing and delivering operational readiness frameworks for the River Torrens to Darlington Project, ensuring systems, assets and processes are prepared for safe and efficient operation. The role leads integration across engineering, asset management and operational functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance requirements. Key responsibilities include :- Leading development and implementation of strategies to integrate T2D assets into transport networks, including systems integration, asset management and commissioning planning; Providing oversight of system integration, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring documentation and readiness for operational handover; Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational outcomes and project delivery; Establishing and managing asset information systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with asset management frameworks; Driving continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, enhancing efficiency and service delivery outcomes; Leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and safety. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability with extensive experience in engineering, systems integration and operational readiness within large-scale infrastructure environments. Proven experience in transport systems, intelligent transport systems (ITS), or major project delivery is essential. The role requires deep technical knowledge across asset management, maintenance frameworks and commissioning processes, alongside demonstrated ability to lead complex programs and communication skills are critical, with the ability to translate technical concepts into operational outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline are required, with a strong understanding of governance, compliance and risk management frameworks.
