The Role We’re seeking an experienced Environment & Release Lead to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable software deployments across our development, testing, and production environments. In this pivotal role, you will manage release cycles, optimise CI/CD pipelines, maintain deployment environments, and work closely with our Business Transformation team to enable seamless software delivery. What You’ll Do Lead and coordinate release cycles with precision, ensuring timely and successful software deployments. Develop robust release strategies including rollback plans and version control. Optimise and maintain CI/CD workflows using tools like Copado, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. Design and manage automated testing frameworks integrated within the deployment process. Oversee environment stability across development, UAT, sandbox, and production systems. Collaborate across teams—developers, testers, and operations—to troubleshoot and resolve deployment challenges. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement KPIs to monitor deployment success and pipeline efficiency. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to continuously enhance our CI/CD and automated testing capabilities. What We’re Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, DevOps, or related field. CI/CD certification (minimum foundation level). Proven experience deploying and optimising CI/CD pipelines with tools like Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Strong knowledge of release management, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and Agile/DevOps best practices. Satisfactory National Criminal History Checks. Current driver’s license and up-to-date vaccinations per Australian government guidelines. Desirable: Advanced CI/CD certifications (e.g., Copado Essentials). Salesforce platform experience. Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and performance tuning.
