Engineer (Civil Design -Roads) - 6-month Contract We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Local Council team and contribute to the planning and design of large-scale road infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver safe, sustainable, and effective road and drainage designs that make a real impact on our community. Key Responsibilities: Survey, investigate, and prepare design plans and cost estimates for roads, kerb and gutter, footpaths, stormwater drainage, traffic facilities, and carparks. Ensure all designs meet Council standards, regulatory requirements, and accepted engineering practices. Liaise with contractors, consultants, government authorities, utilities, property owners, and community groups. Review external civil designs and carry out civil design for road and traffic assets. Ensure all projects are delivered on time and in accordance with agreed performance targets. What We’re Looking For: Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 5 year's experience Strong skills in 12D and AutoCAD, specifically in road and drainage design. Post-qualification experience in survey, investigation, and design for civil projects. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and engineering standards. Current Class C driver’s license.
