What You’ll Be Doing Leading the identification, assessment, and analysis of project risks across the lifecycle of major infrastructure and defence projects Developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, strategies, and mitigation plans Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate risk workshops, validate risk registers, and integrate risk considerations into project planning Conducting quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, scenario planning, and contingency development Preparing clear, tailored reporting and client-ready deliverables (risk reports, dashboards, presentations) on risk exposure and mitigation effectiveness Identifying opportunities for value enhancement and proactive risk reduction within project portfolios Applying best-practice risk management methodologies and project controls principles What They’re Looking For 5 years in risk management/project controls roles within construction, infrastructure, or defence sectors Australian Citizenship or full working rights Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management, or similar Strong grounding in risk management principles, methodologies (e.g., ISO 31000), and their application in complex projects Advanced experience using risk management software (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Safran Risk) Confident communicator with experience facing clients and managing expectations Someone comfortable leading tasks autonomously while supporting junior team members Understanding of project controls frameworks and broader project management principles Consultancy experience is a strong advantage.
