About the Role We’re looking for a Trades Assistant to join our Cat Rentals team in Dandenong, supporting our technicians with repairs and day-to-day workshop operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who’s had some exposure to a workshop or mechanical environment and is keen to build their skills further. In this role, you will: Help with strip downs, cleaning and basic inspections Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment Prepare tools, parts and materials for upcoming jobs Assist Technicians with repairs, rebuilds and component work Complete job-related paperwork and follow processes Providing quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders About You You’re someone who’s not afraid of hard work, enjoys being hands-on, and wants to build a career in the mobile plant industry. We’re looking for: Some workshop or mechanical experience (automotive, heavy equipment or similar) Basic skills using hand and power tools Driver’s licence and reliable transport A strong work ethic and willingness to learn Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude Good communication skills and attention to detail A strong focus on safety Why join us?
