We are currently seeking an experienced Government Procurement Administration Officer to support the delivery of compliant, efficient procurement and contract management activities across a progressive regional council in Central Queensland. About the Organisation This role sits within a regional local government in Central Queensland , servicing a diverse community across rural townships and agricultural areas. The council delivers a broad range of services including infrastructure, community programs, and environmental management, with a strong focus on sustainability, efficiency, and community outcomes. About the Role Full-time hours Initial 6-month contract , with the possibility of extension Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle Assist with RFQs, tenders, and select quote processes Prepare, issue, and manage procurement and contract documentation Maintain procurement, contract, and supplier records and registers Coordinate submissions and support evaluation processes Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on procurement enquiries Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures Support reporting, including spend analysis and contract tracking Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes Key selection criteria Experience in procurement, administration, finance, or contract support in a Government environment.
