Mill Manager - Multi-Site Operations | Food Manufacturing A leading and well-established Australian food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Mill Manager to take full responsibility for its milling operations across multiple sites in South Australia. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to drive operational performance, lead large teams, and optimise end-to-end production within a highly regarded manufacturing environment. The Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Mill Manager will oversee the complete milling function , from grain intake through to finished product output, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all operations. The role will also take responsibility for multi-site management , leading teams and coordinating maintenance, production, and supply chain functions. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day milling operations , including grain intake, storage, processing, and product output Lead and develop teams of Millers, Operators, and support staff Oversee multi-site operations , ensuring consistency and performance across locations Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency and reduce costs Monitor and report on production KPIs , including extraction rates and operational performance Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure plant reliability and performance Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and quality standards (HACCP / ISO) Manage supplier inputs and coordinate with internal departments to maintain production flow Oversee non-conformance processes and implement corrective actions About You To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate: Extensive experience in flour, wheat, grain, or similar milling operations Proven background in a senior leadership role within manufacturing or processing environments Experience managing large teams and multi-site operations Strong understanding of milling systems, plant operations, and production processes Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and cost efficiencies Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement What's on Offer Competitive salary package of $150,000 - $180,000 superannuation Opportunity to lead a critical function within a well-established organisation Long-term career growth and stability Visa sponsorship available for suitable international candidates Relocation support may be considered Location Based in South Australia , this role offers an excellent lifestyle opportunity with access to affordable living, strong community environments, and a high quality of life.
