Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to: Ensuring suitable and adequate systems (policies, management systems, internal controls, equipment, etc.) are competently applied across all departments Compliance with legislative and corporate requirements, and demonstrating due dilligence Assuring completion of suitable audits for EHS and corresponding action plans. Assuring business continuity risks are mitigated through forward planning - liaise on with EHS Mentor and Site Manager Provide qualitative and quantitative information on EHS (e.g., performance statistics, performance reviews, business risks, professional opinions) Meet requirements of the post-injury management process, ensuring suitable systems are implemented and maintained across the site. About you: Bachelors degree in a professional technical discipline – e.g. engineering/science, supplemented with courses in safety, industrial hygiene, environment or Diploma in Occupation Safety and Health with appropriate experience. Some experience in EHS or safety management or in a related field in a processing or manufacturing environment. Understanding of legal systems, regulatory enforcement processes and relevant legislation. Experience liaising with regulatory agencies (i.e. city / district / regional councils) Understanding and experience with Safety Management Systems (e.g. AS/NZS 4801, OHSAS 18001) and/or other management systems (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001). Also strong literacy in computers and IT systems. Experience in Waste Water Treatment process, EHS auditing, and with the ability to lead change and to lead others in change.
