We h ave a Senior Management Accountant role (internally known as Senior Operations Accountant) based at our Darra, QLD corporate office, supporting our Naval Base cement milling operations in Perth, WA. You will be the financial voice for the site - partnering with operational leaders, driving cost control, and translating numbers into decisions that actually move the needle. It is a role with real variety, real impact, and periodic travel to WA built in. About the Role This is a hands-on, commercially focused position where you will work closely with site teams as a business partner, rather than a behind the scenes back-office function. You will own the numbers, coach non-financial leaders, and help shape how financial insight drives performance on the ground. What You'll Be Doing Own month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the Naval Base site Partner with site operations to provide practical financial insights and support decision-making Drive cost control and variance analysis across production and raw materials Coach and support operational leaders to build confidence in cost ownership and SAP reporting Support capex, inventory management and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Business Partners across other Cement Australia sites to share knowledge, align processes, and embed best practice reportin g. Who We're Looking For You don't need to have worked in cement - but you do need to understand what it means to work close to site operations. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting out from behind the spreadsheet and into the conversation. Ideally you will have: CPA or CA qualification 5 years’ experience in management or operations accounting Experience in manufacturing, mining, logistics, ports, or a similarly operational environment Strong understanding of production costs, variance analysis, and COGS SAP experience or willingness to learn Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with non-financial stakeholders Willingness to travel to WA on a regular basis and work flexibly across WA time zones Why Join Cement Australia?
