About the Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, insight and innovation across Qscan’s financial operations. You’ll be responsible for driving the month-end process, delivering meaningful financial analysis, and partnering with business leaders to support informed decision-making and operational excellence. Based at our Clayfield Support Office , this permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, values-driven environment where your contributions make a real impact on patient care and organisational performance. In this role, you will: Lead the month-end close process, producing timely and accurate management reports for multiple business units. Maintain and reconcile general ledgers and fixed asset registers, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data. Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning initiatives that guide strategic growth. Assist in taxation compliance (Income Tax, FBT, GST) and assist with year-end audits. Provide data-driven financial insights to drive efficiency, performance, and business improvement. Mentor and review the work of junior finance team members, fostering capability and growth. Assist with the preparation and presentation of corporate overhead reports to Senior Stakeholders. Champion process improvement and system optimisation initiatives, supporting Qscan’s culture of continuous improvement and excellence. About You We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoys turning numbers into meaningful insights. You will bring: A degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline CA/CPA qualification (or progress towards) 5 years of proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a multi-entity or complex business environment Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Taxation and Compliance requirements A track record of driving process improvements and implementing change Advanced Excel and financial systems skills; experience with Microsoft Business Central is not required but highly desirable Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
