THE OPPORTUNITY An excellent opportunity has become available for an Audit Intermediate to join a growing and dynamic audit team. Reporting to the Audit Manager, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality external audit services while developing your technical expertise and client engagement skills. This position offers exposure to a broad range of clients and industries, particularly within the not-for-profit and community sectors. You will work within a collaborative team environment where learning, mentoring and professional development are strongly supported. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the planning and execution of external audit engagements Perform audit testing and evaluate internal controls in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards Prepare audit documentation and working papers within engagement timelines and budgets Assist in reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant reporting requirements Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders Collaborate with senior auditors and managers to deliver high-quality audit outcomes Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and engagement efficiency EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline 1–2 years of experience in external audit within Australia Currently undertaking or planning to undertake CA or CPA qualification Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Experience with CaseWare or similar audit software is desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build positive client relationships with professionalism and integrity Interest or experience working with not-for-profit organisations is highly regarded Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a motor vehicle preferred THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Will enjoy Competitive salary package above industry award standards Travel allowance Annual reimbursement for professional membership or registration fees Structured mentoring from senior leaders and partners Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Clear career progression pathways within the firm Flexible working arrangements Team sporting, social and networking activities Employee wellbeing initiatives including additional wellness leave A collaborative and supportive workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia or NZ will be considered.
