Yard & Transport Supervisor Location Riverview Recruitment 247 Permanent Full Time Recruitment 247 is seeking an experienced and hands on Yard & Transport Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily yard and transport operations for a major manufacturing site in Riverview. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring safe efficient and compliant movement of products people and equipment across a busy industrial environment. This position suits a proactive leader who thrives in a fast paced yard environment understands Chain of Responsibility requirements and can drive operational improvements while maintaining strong communication across all levels of the business. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily load scheduling truck loading and unloading and coordination of transport providers Ensure full compliance with Chain of Responsibility CoR legislation Drive cost savings through effective utilisation of yard assets and transport fleet Lead train and support yard and transport staff Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and transport partners Manage daily stock reconciliation cycle counts and stocktakes Optimise yard layout and storage to improve efficiency and profitability Monitor and order yard raw materials and ensure mobile plant is utilised effectively Conduct safety audits toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders Ensure housekeeping standards are upheld across the site Key Performance Indicators Accurate and timely load scheduling Safe efficient and on time truck loading and unloading Full compliance with CoR requirements Accurate daily inventory acceptance and cycle counts Improved yard processes leading to measurable cost savings Safety and Compliance The successful candidate will conduct regular safety walks and ensure adherence to safe work procedures promote and participate in health and safety initiatives report hazards incidents and near misses promptly ensure correct use and maintenance of PPE and manage risks associated with mobile plant truck interactions manual handling and outdoor work. Training and Leadership Identify training needs and support skill development for yard staff participate in ongoing training to enhance personal capability lead toolbox talks and maintain strong communication across teams. About You To succeed in this role you will bring proven experience in yard transport or logistics supervision a strong understanding of CoR legislation excellent communication and leadership skills ability to manage competing priorities in a busy operational environment strong problem solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset and competency operating yard equipment such as forklifts and mobile plant.
