About the Role We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to drive the development and continuous improvement of our testing framework, ensuring the quality and reliability of systems and applications across Avant. In this role, you’ll lead testing activities end to end including designing test plans, executing test cycles, managing defects, and supporting business units through user acceptance testing. You will work closely with the Platform Lead, Quality and Test Manager, offshore teams, vendors and stakeholders across the business to deliver high quality solutions on time. Your expertise in testing methodologies, attention to detail and strong problem solving skills will be essential in reducing risk and improving delivery outcomes. Key Accountabilities: Lead and enhance testing frameworks, processes and practices Conduct system, integration, regression and UAT testing Develop and maintain test cases, RTMs and test artefacts Manage defects and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution Provide clear, timely reporting on testing progress and outcomes Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and reduce defects Qualifications and experience required: Tertiary qualification in information technology, engineering or a related discipline IT or Testing-related certificates e.g. TOGAF, ABA (beneficial) Experience as a Test Lead in an IT environment Background leading manual and automation testing teams Experience with Duck Creek insurance platform would be highly advantageous Strong test planning, execution and defect management skills Experience with Azure DevOps, Bitbar or similar tools Insurance or financial services experience (highly regarded) About Avant For over 130 years, Avant has stood by Australian medical professionals.
