Trades Assistant We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role working closely with supervisors, engineers, and skilled tradespeople to deliver safe, high-quality work within required timeframes. As a Trades Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and representing the business professionally when working with both internal teams and external stakeholders. About the role: Reading and interpreting production and fabrication drawings Assisting with the prefabrication and assembly of WCFT structures both on and off site Supporting tradespeople with daily tasks and tool handling Working to strict deadlines and within allocated budgets Travelling to various project sites as required Carrying out repairs, replacements, and general maintenance of existing structures Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment Representing the company in a professional manner when engaging with third parties and internal teams About you: A strong work ethic and willingness to learn The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic understanding of construction or fabrication processes (desirable) The ability to read and interpret technical drawings (or willingness to learn) A commitment to safety and quality workmanship Flexibility to travel for work when required What we offer: Opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience Support and development, including the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Civil Construction A collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to a variety of projects and work locations About us: Wagners is a highly renowned, ASX listed construction materials and services provider, headquartered in QLD.
