Finance Business Partner 6 months Full-Time Fixed-Term Classification: HS6 Location: Thomas Embling Hospital, Fairfield (with occasional travel to other sites) We are entering a critical phase of our hospital expansion, delivering an additional 82 beds across six new clinical units. To support this, we are seeking experienced professionals to join us in six month fixed term, project-based roles focused on the set up, delivery and planning of these new services. These roles will play a pivotal part in translating planning into operational readiness — supporting workforce mobilisation, service commencement and safe planning of the hospital expansion. About the role We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide specialist management accounting and financial support across major capital, infrastructure and service expansion initiatives. Operating at an experienced practitioner level, you will partner closely with senior leaders to deliver high‑quality financial advice, budgeting, forecasting and analysis that supports safe, sustainable service delivery during this critical expansion phase. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, exposure to complex projects, and the opportunity to influence decision‑making at a senior level. Key responsibilities Lead budgeting and forecasting for nominated project and infrastructure portfolios Deliver accurate month‑end reporting, variance analysis and financial commentary Provide financial modelling, scenario analysis and options assessments Contribute to business cases, project costings and investment proposals Monitor financial risks and support mitigation strategies Ensure integrity and accuracy of management accounting data and reporting Partner with leaders to translate financial insights into operational decisions Support continuous improvement in financial reporting and governance About you You are a confident, analytically strong finance professional who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments. You bring a collaborative approach and can translate financial information into clear, actionable advice for non‑finance stakeholders.
