We are seeking a Charter Operations Team Leader to oversee the management, allocation, and supervision of the Charter driving team and ensure the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of Charter and School transport services. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Charter and Rail driving teams as well as ensuring contracts are executed to meet operational, customer, and financial KPIs, and that drivers are effectively managed, trained, and prepared to meet service delivery standards. Key Responsibilities : Lead, coach, and support the Charter driving team, ensuring alignment with contractual, operational, and safety requirements. Manage driver allocations, attendance, and resourcing for planned and unplanned leave. Provide feedback and coaching to drivers and actively manage any performance concerns. Oversee day-to-day allocation of Charter and School services, ensuring accurate planning and resourcing. Monitor and manage vehicle utilisation and labour inputs to optimise profitability. Manage roster planning and ensure compliance with fatigue management and EBA requirements. Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all accreditation and legislative requirements. Support delivery of rail services during peak periods or disruptions. You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, proactively managing day to day operational issues, ensuring efficient allocation and management of resources and providing front line leadership to a team of drivers Essential Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in public transport in a front-line leadership role. Strong understanding of transport operations, including driver and vehicle allocation. Working knowledge of industry legislation, OHS, fatigue management, and EBAs.
