About the Role We are seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer to support the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications within a Federal Government environment. This role will focus on developing and enhancing Azure-based platforms, supporting both existing regulatory systems and new digital initiatives. You will work within an Agile, cross-functional team to deliver end-to-end solutions, contributing to system design, development, integration, and continuous improvement. Position : .NET Software Engineer – $800–$1,200/day super Location : ACT (Onsite) Working Arrangement : Onsite (flexibility considered case-by-case) Start Date : 1 July 2026 Duration : 12 months 2 x 12-month extensions Application Window : Closing 24 April 2026 Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Azure-based web APIs and portal applications Build scalable solutions using .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Integrate systems and services to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences Apply secure coding practices aligned with government standards Conduct code reviews and contribute to quality assurance processes Work from detailed architecture documentation to deliver robust solutions Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including developers, analysts, and architects Provide technical advice and support across development lifecycle Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools Produce and maintain technical and release documentation Support optimisation and modernisation of legacy systems into cloud environments Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture About You Minimum 5 years’ experience developing secure web-based applications using .NET technologies Strong experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, , and Web APIs Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure services (e.g. API Manager, Logic Apps, SQL, Service Bus) Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repositories, and deployments Familiarity with integrating systems including Dynamics 365 and third-party platforms Strong understanding of secure coding practices and ISM compliance Experience with testing frameworks such as xUnit, nUnit, Selenium, or Playwright Experience working in Agile delivery environments Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders Relevant tertiary qualifications in software development or related field (desirable) Must be able to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance Must have valid working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or long-term visa holders only; no sponsorship available) As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at .
