This is a Merchandise Planner - Concessions role with MYER based in Melbourne, VIC, AU MYER Role Seniority - mid level More about the Merchandise Planner - Concessions role at MYER As the Merchandise Planner for the Concessions category, you will be an incremental part of delivering the Myer Merchandise strategy by analysing business trends and performance to optimise sales and profit within the portfolio. In conjunction with the Brand Managers, this role is accountable for end-to-end management including financial performance for all brands and product categories within the Concessions portfolio. Flexible working arrangements - work partly from home A great opportunity to make an impact within a passionate and dynamic team Further opportunities for succession planning and development About the role: Develop merchandise plans and manage profitable performance across key categories in support of the Myer strategy Analyse sales and profit performance by Brand and provide recommendations to further improve profitability for Myer Collate and present the Monthly Merchandise Reviews and Seasonal Strategies at an executive level providing leadership and guidance to Concession Managers Maintain and update WSSI documents and all financial documents relating to the concession portfolio Providing weekly trade reporting and contributing to meeting budgeted sales and profit Planning and analysis including in-season, quarterly Brand Partner reviews and post season analysis Analysing the health of the business on ongoing basis by identifying opportunities to drive additional sales and profit Collaborate with Concession Managers, Merchandise Planning Managers and Category Manager in building annual budgets Contractual commercial analysis and reviewal providing recommendations on improving sales and profit, working back with the External Business Controls team Assist and collaborate with the General Manager on various modelling including new brand introductions and contract renegotiation About you: Previous experience in merchandise planning at a management level is essential Strong negotiation and influencing skills to enable an improvement in performance for the overall category, focussing on brand and category opportunities Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence senior‑level stakeholders Strong data accuracy skills and attention to detail will be critical to success in this role Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently on prioritising and meeting deadlines Self driven individual who prides themselves in their work and focuses on result achievement A team player who appreciates collaborative environment Benefits to you: Generous team member discounts on all Myer products Volunteer, parental and lifestyle leave available Career growth and succession opportunities Reward and Recognition Programs Before we jump into the responsibilities of the role.
