About the Position: The Cook role at Jbeil Cuisine Pty Ltd is a full-time position within our busy kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role plays a vital part in upholding our reputation for excellence and ensuring our customers enjoy memorable dining experiences in our restaurant. Key Responsibilities: Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment Preparing and cooking a variety of traditional and contemporary Lebanese dishes Seasoning food during the cooking process Portioning food, plating dishes, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements as needed Training other kitchen staff and apprentices where required Requirements : Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience. Technical skills: Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques, knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently.
