About the role As SEO and LLM Manager, you will be the central strategic owner for organic growth, LLM visibility, and AI-readiness across your portfolio. This means going well beyond keyword rankings, you will define how the brand shows up in AI-powered search experiences, build the playbook for visibility in large language model responses, and translate insight into commercial impact. You will partner closely with the SEO Website Lead, content creators, data analysts, brand teams, and the Digital Community team, acting as the primary strategic voice for your portfolio across the organisation. You will also lead and develop an SEO specialist, owning the operating model for day-to-day execution. Key responsibilities Develop and execute the SEO and LLM strategy for your portfolio, with the primary goal of driving sustainable, high-performance acquisition. Ensure all portfolio content is discoverable and accurately represented across traditional SERPs and AI-powered discovery experiences. Translate visibility gains into measurable commercial outcomes, improving conversion rates on portfolio pages and contributing to quote and policy targets. Lead the portfolio's response to the evolving AI search landscape Develop and govern the content entity optimisation strategy, defining relationships between topics, products, and policies to establish authority in AI answers. Work with the Digital Community team to embed an AI reputation strategy and address negative sentiment or misinformation in LLM responses. Act as the primary strategic voice for your portfolio's technical SEO needs, partnering with the SEO Website Lead and development team to prioritise foundational requirements. Oversee the content production workflow, ensuring briefs are commercially aligned, technically accurate, and effectively executed. Lead, coach, and develop the SEO and LLM specialist within your portfolio. About you You are an experienced SEO professional with genuine curiosity about the AI search landscape and the ambition to help define what best practice looks like in this space. You are analytical, commercially minded, and confident translating complex data into a clear, prioritised strategy that stakeholders at every level can act on. To be successful, you will bring: Proven experience in an SEO role with a strong track record of driving organic growth and achieving commercial targets. Deep expertise in technical SEO including site architecture, performance optimisation, and content strategy. Have a keen interest in AI-powered search, LLMs, and optimising content for AI-driven discovery. Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console, as well as platforms for monitoring AI search visibility. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data sets into a prioritised and actionable strategy. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical partners. Experience in a regulated industry is highly desirable.
