About the Role As a Manager in BDO’s Risk Advisory team, you will lead and deliver independent assurance and risk advisory services across large‑scale ERP and business transformation programs. Working closely with the National Partner Lead, you will provide decision‑grade insights to senior executives and steering committees, helping clients understand delivery risk, governance effectiveness, business readiness, and the likelihood of successful outcomes. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role combining deep program assurance expertise with stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and contribution to practice growth. About the Team BDO’s Risk Advisory team delivers contemporary risk solutions that help clients respond to change and complexity with confidence. Our services include internal audit, enterprise risk management, governance and board effectiveness, transformation risk and assurance, IT audit and risk, cyber governance, risk and compliance, AI risk and governance, and general compliance. Our Melbourne team is one of the fastest growing in the market and is focused on building something that feels different—for our clients and our people. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver program assurance engagements across ERP and enterprise system implementations (e.g. SAP, Oracle, TechnologyOne, Workday, Dynamics). Conduct health checks, stage‑gate reviews, governance and controls assessments, and delivery risk reviews across the program lifecycle. Assess governance, delivery approach, financial management, benefits realisation, vendor management, and business readiness. Translate complex risks into clear, actionable insights for executives, steering committees, and boards. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and facilitate workshops and executive discussions. Lead, coach, and review the work of consultants and senior consultants. Support proposals, pursuits, and the ongoing growth of the Risk Advisory practice. Qualifications, Experience and Skills 5–8 years’ experience in program assurance, transformation risk, PMO, or delivery assurance (Big 4 or top‑tier consulting preferred). Direct experience providing assurance over ERP or major enterprise system implementations. Strong understanding of program governance, delivery frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), and risk management. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce board‑ready reports. Proven stakeholder presence, people leadership, and coaching capability.
