We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our team! Reporting to the GM, Strategy & Operations, the Strategy Manager helps shape and deliver OneDigital's strategic agenda across loyalty, data, retail media and AI. This is a hands-on role - writing board papers, building business cases, preparing executive briefing materials, and working with divisional and Group stakeholders to land strategic initiatives. You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, provide commercially grounded analysis, and drive initiatives from concept through to delivery. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between big-picture thinking and detailed execution – structured enough to produce board-quality work, adaptable enough to operate in a fast-moving environment executing the implementation of key initiatives. This is a 12-month max-term position. What you’ll be doing • Prepare board papers, executive summaries, briefing notes and presentation decks for the Wesfarmers Board, Group CEO and OneDigital leadership. • Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for decision forums, ensuring clarity, commercial rigour, and actionable insights. • Ensure materials are clear, commercially grounded and meet Wesfarmers' governance standards. • Lead business cases end-to-end - financial modelling, scenario analysis, risk assessment and commercial rationale. • Translate strategic opportunities into investment-ready proposals with clear return expectations. • Support the development and evolution of OneDigital's strategic roadmap across its four pillars (loyalty, data, retail media, AI). • Act as a strategic integrator, ensuring initiatives are embedded and adopted across the business. • Work across OneDigital, divisional teams (Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, Wesfarmers Health) and Group functions (finance, legal, technology). What you'll bring to the table • 5 years’ experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, or business transformation, ideally in a digital, technology, or data-driven environment. • Strong commercial acumen, with a proven ability to develop business cases, conduct financial modelling, and assess investment opportunities. • Experience writing board papers and executive level materials to a high standard • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into clear strategic recommendations. • Strong project management experience, with the ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing executive level reports and recommendations. • Highly collaborative, able to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business. • A proactive, adaptable mindset, comfortable working in an evolving and high-growth digital business.
