The Company & Opportunity Our client is a global leader in the consumer goods sector, with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand and operations spanning multiple international markets. We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Senior Financial Accountant to support financial control, reporting, and compliance across the ANZ business on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in month-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination, while partnering closely with both local and global stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Control Lead month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, and reporting Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances Support statutory reporting and year-end financial statements (IFRS & US GAAP) Deliver insightful analysis across COGS, freight, warehousing, and operating expenses Audit & Compliance Act as a key contact for external and internal audits Ensure SOX compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment Partner with global shared services teams to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness Taxation Manage BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG and withholding tax obligations Support tax reporting and liaise with external advisors and tax authorities Assist with transfer pricing and broader tax compliance requirements Business Partnering & Projects Partner with finance and operational teams on forecasting and budgeting Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting Contribute to system, reporting, and process optimisation initiatives About You CA qualified with 5–7 years’ experience in a big 4 or mid-tier chartered accounting firm (either audit or business services) Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/US GAAP exposure ideal) Exposure to tax compliance in Australia Advanced Excel skills and experience navigating SAP or similar tier 1 ERP systems Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and partner with the business Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset Why Join?
