About Our Client Our client is a large multinational retail organisation with substantial finance operations across Australia and New Zealand, operating in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with a strong focus on compliance, internal controls, and continuous improvement. Job Description Prepare income tax returns, disclosures, transfer pricing documentation, tax effect accounting, and BAS/GST analysis. Prepare annual consolidated financial statements, ESG reporting, and statutory disclosures. Review and analyse P&L movements, variances, and prepare meaningful commentary for internal stakeholders. Support budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and follow‑up of outstanding items. Assist with internal and external audits, internal control development, and system enhancement initiatives. Perform core financial accounting activities including technical accounting, consolidations, and month‑end responsibilities. Supervise an Assistant Accountant and complete ad‑hoc duties as required. The Successful Applicant 3 years' experience within a mid‑ to large‑sized business, ideally multinational or high‑volume ($200m revenue equivalent). Strong financial accounting foundation with technical knowledge of Australian and New Zealand accounting standards and tax compliance. CA/CPA qualified or progressing, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business partnering skills. Proactive, adaptable, organised, and able to work independently while contributing positively to team outcomes. Strong Excel skills (formulas, VLOOKUPs, Power Query).
