The Role This is a comprehensive leadership position combining commercial strategy with hands-on operational excellence. Your core responsibilities include: Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day electrical service, maintenance, and project delivery. You will regularly visit operational sites to oversee work quality and lead "toolbox" meetings to build a high-performance culture. Financial Mastery: Take full P&L accountability for the State operation. You will develop annual budgets, monitor margins and cash flow, and prepare monthly financial "Work in Progress" (WIP) reports. Strategic Growth: Build strong pipelines across construction and maintenance. You will lead large tenders and major bids while developing key account strategies for long-term partnerships. People Leadership: Directly manage Project Managers, Supervisors, and Admin staff across SA and NT. Your focus will be on mentoring, conducting annual performance reviews, and ensuring effective workforce planning. System Innovation: Standardize policies and processes across estimating and delivery while driving continuous improvement through the adoption of new technology. Who You Are We are looking for a "Hands-on Leader" who can step back and think strategically. Experience: Minimum of 10 years within electrical contracting or related trades. You should have 5-10 years of operational experience and at least 2 years in a General Manager capacity. Licensing: You must hold an Unrestricted Electrical Workers Licence (SA) and a current Driver's Licence. Commercial Acumen: Proven success in growing a regional business unit with strong skills in estimating and contract management. Technical Proficiency: General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Attributes: You bring a "Can Do" approach, integrity, and a commitment to people and safety.
