The Opportunity We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing business in Melbourne’s western suburbs to recruit an Operations Manager with a strong focus on demand planning. This is a key role responsible for aligning customer demand with production capability, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and driving operational efficiency across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Lead demand planning and forecasting processes across the business Analyse historical data, trends, and customer demand to improve forecast accuracy Lead a team of 4-5 Align production schedules with demand plans in a manufacturing environment Oversee inventory management to balance service levels and working capital Manage logistics and distribution to ensure on-time delivery Partner with production, sales, and procurement teams to drive S&OP outcomes Use Excel and data analysis tools to generate insights and reporting About You Proven experience in demand planning within a manufacturing or production environment Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Solid understanding of supply chain, inventory, and logistics processes Ability to translate data into actionable operational decisions Strong stakeholder engagement across operations, production, and commercial teams Experience in S&OP or integrated business planning is highly regarded What’s on Offer Key leadership role with real influence on business performance End-to-end operational exposure across planning, logistics, and inventory Growing business with strong market presence Western suburbs location with on-site presence If this sounds like the role for you, please reach out to me directly at ldeegan@sharpandcarter.com.au
