We have a brilliant opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Kogan.com Finance team! Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, and supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll be involved in all aspects of business partnering, management accounting, FP&A and analytics, with the aim of driving oversight, transparency and efficiency within the business. Aligned to the overarching role of the Commercial Finance team, you will analyse, interpret and provide meaningful, action-based insights to Kogan.com’s leadership team at both an operational and strategic level. In this role you'll be responsible for: Assisting with the preparation and consolidation of periodic financial forecasts and the annual budgeting process. Providing detailed variance analysis of actuals versus budget to identify trends, risks and opportunities. Delivering end-to-end financial accounting and analytical support for the Kogan Group Verticals partnerships business, including Kogan Mobile, Insurance, and Energy. Assisting with the development and deployment of financial forecast models. Preparing monthly reporting at a divisional level, providing commentary and insights into business performance. Developing bespoke reporting for new initiatives to evaluate their performance and feasibility. Reviewing and managing key risks and opportunities while tracking costs for support divisions. Supporting the Financial Control team with the preparation of disclosures for the Annual and Half-Yearly Financial Statements for our ASX-listed entities. Preparing monthly reports for external stakeholders and partners for the Mobile business. Supporting the review of payment gateways and accounts as part of the month end close process. Collaborating with the Data Analytics team to maintain the integrity of and enhance operational and financial dashboards. Reviewing and reconciling differences between the SAP ERP system and data analytic tools. To be successful in this role, you should be: University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business or similar) A qualified CA/CPA, or working towards your accreditation qualification. Able to demonstrate experience working within Finance / Accounting, preferably in a Retail / eCommerce / FMCG environment. Experience within an ASX listed business will be highly regarded Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement Being able to leverage AI and automation to enhance financial data analytics and process efficiency is highly regarded. Experienced with SAP, or similar Experienced in using data to inform business direction and strategy, using this as a tool for storytelling and driving outcomes Commercial and financially astute, with demonstrated experience in applying these skills to solve complex business problems and find solutions Able to thrive in an agile working environment and adaptable to change Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
