About This Opportunity The Research Support Officer provides administrative and project support across the Health and Wellbeing Centre for Research Innovation (HWCRI) and NIISQ, contributing to the effective delivery of research activities and operations. The role comprises approximately 60% administrative support (including 20% dedicated to NIISQ) and 40% research project support across approved initiatives. Working closely with the HWCRI Executive Team and in collaboration with the Queensland Centre for Olympic and Paralympic Studies (QCOPS) administrative team, you will support the coordination and delivery of research projects managed through HWCRI. The position reports to the Research Program Manager and plays a key role in ensuring smooth operational and project outcomes within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Key responsibilities will include: Coordinate administrative support across HWCRI, QCOPS and NIISQ projects, including reporting, meetings, communications and data support. Provide event and project coordination support across research activities. Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of manuscripts and publications. Support the development of research documentation, including ethics and funding applications. Undertake other duties as directed by the Research Program Manager and Centre leadership. Contribute to safe and effective research operations, including equipment, infrastructure and protocols. This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years at HEW Level 5. About You Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training. Demonstrated practical research skills and experience with relevant methodologies and techniques. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Well-organised, methodical, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage routine tasks independently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
