What's the role? This is a rare opportunity for a senior product manager ready to step into a broader, more strategic role. We’re looking for an exceptional platform product leader to own and evolve the shared apps platform that powers News Corp Australia’s consumer experiences — a platform that underpins 34 apps across 17 brands. Sitting at the intersection of technology, product and commercial strategy, you’ll ensure our app architecture scales across brands and use cases while remaining fast, reliable and differentiated. This is a senior, strategic role - not a feature factory or growth-hacker position. You’ll act as the “glue” between multiple teams and brands, building durable, reusable platform capabilities that unlock value across the entire portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager, Digital Product Operations & Strategy, you’ll be supported and mentored as you step into this next phase of your career, with the opportunity to shape how apps are built and scaled across one of Australia’s largest media organisations. Responsibilities Define and drive the vision, strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the shared apps platform Build scalable, reusable platform capabilities that support multiple brands and use cases Act as the key link between engineering, product, and business teams to align priorities and trade-offs Own relationships with key platform partners (Apple & Google), including app releases, compliance, and new capability adoption Lead and mentor cross-functional squads, focusing on high-impact platform outcomes rather than one-off feature delivery Use data, experimentation and user insights to guide decisions, measure success, and continuously improve platform performance Who are you? A senior product manager ready to step into a more strategic, platform-focused leadership role Experienced in building and scaling digital products, ideally across mobile apps or platform environments Technically confident — you’re comfortable working with APIs, mobile ecosystems, and engineering teams A strong communicator who can influence stakeholders, align teams, and confidently navigate trade-offs Commercially minded, with an understanding of how platform decisions drive efficiency, growth, and long-term value Curious, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity — you take ownership and move things forward, even when the path isn’t perfectly defined Why News Corp Australia Join a culture where innovation is our operating rhythm. You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of Australia’s most loved brands and play a pivotal role in leading the technological shift in how we create commercial content. Our vibrant, hybrid work environment and dynamic, values-driven culture empowers you to push boundaries, collaborate as one unified team, and make a positive, measurable impact for all Australians.
