Description Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Experience Designer. Location: Sydney-based role only On-site Requirement: 2 days in the office per week Why On-site? This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential. What’s the role? As a Senior Experience Designer, you will support the re‑imagining of business lending through BizEdge, Westpac’s next‑generation origination platform. You will design a single, guided digital experience that simplifies complex lending journeys for customers and bankers. Working end to end across integrated platforms, you will apply strong hands‑on craft while navigating complexity, driving clarity, and lifting experience quality across outcomes. Additionally, you will partner closely with product, engineering, research, and business subject matter experts to frame problems, uncover opportunities, and shape the right solutions. You will facilitate workshops and co‑design sessions, communicate design intent through clear storytelling, and champion research and evidence to validate direction and iterate with confidence. You’ll own design decisions across complex journeys, contribute to scalable patterns and systems, and support others through mentoring and quality uplift. You will embrace AI as part of modern design practice, using it responsibly to accelerate discovery and synthesis, explore solution options, strengthen decision‑making, and reduce administrative overhead—while relying on human judgement, empathy, and craft to deliver safe, accessible, and high‑quality experiences. What do I need? Proven experience in digital product design, ideally within enterprise environments; financial services experience is an advantage. Confidence working autonomously on complex initiatives, with strong problem‑framing and delivery skills. Experience using AI within design workflows to support synthesis, exploration, and decision‑making will be a nice‑to‑have skill. Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, data/research, and business stakeholders. High emotional intelligence — curious, empathetic, and able to influence with clarity and care. Resilience in ambiguity, with the ability to adapt as priorities evolve. Note: Please share a link or reference to your portfolio. Why join us?
