At ATCO Australia, our Finance team plays a key role in supporting informed decision‑making, strong governance and long‑term performance across the business. As a Financial Accountant, you’ll sit right at the centre of that work, helping ensure our financial reporting, cash flow management and compliance processes are accurate, timely and reliable. What You’ll Be Doing As part of the Finance Services team, you’ll support assigned client groups across ATCO Australia, including our Power Division, by: Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports that provide clear visibility of performance against targets. Supporting cash flow management across ATCO Australia, including preparing the 90‑day cash flow forecast and monthly reporting to ATCO Canada. Contributing cash flow inputs into the annual Business Planning process, working closely with Finance team colleagues. Monitoring and analysing budget performance, identifying variances and insights that support Management Accountants and leaders to make well‑informed decisions. Supporting audit activities by liaising with external auditors, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring audit requirements are met smoothly. Ensuring compliance with Australian financial and tax regulations, keeping across changes in accounting standards and supporting required reporting updates. Strong collaboration across Finance, including Management Accountants and auditors, backed by well‑maintained documentation and smooth audit processes. What You’ll Bring Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (required). CPA or CA qualification (or progress toward) is highly regarded. Experience & Capability Relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong focus on financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, variance analysis and performance monitoring. Practical experience with cash flow management, including forecasting, receivables, payables and supporting broader business planning activities. Sound knowledge of Australian financial reporting standards, regulatory and tax compliance requirements, including experience working with external auditors and audit processes.
