We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Accountants to join our dynamic Finance team on fixed-term contracts. These roles provide maternity leave cover and offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are offering the following roles: One 10-month fixed-term contract One 14-month fixed-term contract These positions offer far more than maternity leave cover. We are flexible on hours and can appoint these roles on either a part-time basis (minimum 0.8 FTE) or full-time, with arrangements tailored to the successful candidate during the recruitment process. About the roles: As an Accountant you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: Monthly reporting and analysis. Journals, accruals and prepayments. Digital revenue and cost of sales processing. Maintaining the fixed asset register. Inventory accounting. Cost allocations and balance sheet reconciliations. Reviewing corporate credit card transactions. Supporting audits, group reporting and compliance requirements. Tax compliance including FBT schedules, BAS preparation, income tax schedules for tax‑effect accounting. Lease accounting (AASB 16). Payment times reporting. Business partnering with departments including IT, HR, Production, Digital, Circulation and Events. About you: Ideally, you are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a genuine passion for accounting and problem-solving. You will bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills and commitment to accuracy along with the following attributes: Accounting degree and/or working towards CA/CPA completion. Experience in a finance or accounting role. Strong attention to detail and great time management. Able to manage competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Flexible, proactive and team‑focused. Ability to partner with leaders across the business and maintain good relationships.
