The role ALS Water in Bendigo is seeking a Sampler who will play a crucial role in delivering water-focused sampling and analytical solutions. This full time role is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-performing, close-knit team while building practical skills in a laboratory environment. You will be working Monday to Friday , with mandatory participation in a rotating weekend on-call roster. The Sampler is responsible for: Conducting sampling at client sites in accordance with requirements, including on-site field analysis where applicable Ensuring appropriate sampling equipment and approved methodologies are used to deliver a high-quality service Optimizing sample turnaround times while maintaining the highest sampling standards and protocols Maintaining sampling equipment and vehicles to ensure they are clean, well-maintained, and in good working order Building and maintaining client relationships, including scheduling and coordinating sampling activities Prioritizing samples upon arrival at the laboratory Sorting samples and delivering them to the appropriate laboratories Preparing sample bottles Maintaining and calibrating equipment used for analyses, including routine cleaning The essentials A valid Victorian Drivers Licence Relevant experience in the environmental industry. An appropriate level of customer service. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Demonstrated attention to detail. Work independently and as a team. Excellent quality service approach and attitude. Solves basic problems / Lateral thinker. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to spend long periods driving.
