What You'll Be Doing Our National Water Team is searching for an Associate Hydrogeologist to join our Adelaide office as the preferred location, with flexibility for the right candidate to be based in any of our other 14 office locations. What sets ELA's Water Team apart from our peers is our focus on collaborating nationally to provide our employees with interstate opportunities and encourage diverse perspectives; our robust geological experience that guides and informs our hydrogeological studies; and our industry leading groundwater dependent ecosystems (GDEs) services across Australia. With a pipeline of work across industries such as resources, energy, renewables, and infrastructure, you'll be working on a range of established projects and with great clients who value our expertise. You'll be joining a Water Team of approachable and experienced scientists covering groundwater, surface water, water engineering, and aquatic ecology. The type of work we currently undertake includes the following: Project Management of hydrogeological, geological, and water resource studies. Undertake hydrogeological work across the whole life cycle of a project - from desktop literature reviews, coordinating and undertaking field studies, to collecting and analysing the data, and finally writing the technical report. Plan and deliver groundwater drilling programs, often in remote (and stunning!) areas for water supply, water management, and environmental monitoring. Hydrogeological research, compiling current groundwater knowledge into succinct reports. Deliver water resource management studies for clients who depend on these resources or clients who wish to manage and mitigate potential effects to water resources. What You'll Bring To be considered for all roles you will have: A relevant scientific or engineering degree in areas such as Hydrogeology, Geology, or Environmental Science. A minimum of 7 years consulting and/or industry experience. Experience in Project Management, delivering a small to large size projects. Experience delivering groundwater drilling and testing programs. Experience working across numerous Australian States and Territories would be highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to synthesise scientific data and information into reports and conceptualisations. Experience in preparing a range of high-quality hydrogeological study reports including groundwater drilling reports, monitoring and management plans; and A desire to contribute to business development, building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and staff.
